SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — August 19, 2025 — Opinosis Analytics has been awarded a subcontract under the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program, Contract No. HDTRA225PE009, supporting the project “A Personal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Radiation Health Physicist Companion for Radiological Environments.”
As part of the project team, Opinosis Analytics will provide subject matter expertise in natural language technologies, with a focus on large language models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP). The company will contribute to the development of an AI companion designed to help users interact with and access complex radiation health physics knowledge in radiological environments.
Opinosis Analytics’ experience applying LLMs and NLP to specialized and mission-critical applications was an important factor in its selection for the project. Its expertise will support the development of natural-language capabilities that enable the AI system to interpret complex technical information and communicate it effectively to human operators.
